POSTPARTUM CARE

  • We meet 2 days after birth
  • We meet 2 weeks after birth
  • We meet 6 weeks after birth

Yes! The prize is in your hands. While you spend countless hours marveling at your baby, you still have 24/7 access to your midwife. Sleep deprivation is a challenge and if postpartum anxiety creeps up, you are not alone.  Your most important job is staying in bed with your baby and only getting up for your own bathroom needs.  Planning to have support is an important part of the process.  Support to help with meals & house chores is so beneficial. Often churches and friend groups will create meal trains.  When people offer help, take them up on it!  Having a list in the kitchen can help take out the guesswork and lessen any awkward moments when you just want the dog poop picked up in the backyard.

The more time you spend skin-to-skin with your baby, the better recovery and transition will be for both of you.

All postpartum care is done in your home:

We also discuss pelvic floor, exercise, returning to intimacy, mom life & preparing for the workforce.

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb." -Psalm 139: 13

As a husband being a part of the birth team with my wife, I have to say, I’d not want a single better person than Angie to be on the team as our midwife. Angie’s heart and compassion for momma is what stands out the most. Her knowledge and tenure can’t go unnoticed. Having Christian midwife is absolutely game changer for the miracle that giving birth is. I’d 100% recommend her for any one looking to do a home birth or a birth center birth!

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are both sacred and deeply vulnerable seasons. Who you choose to care for you and who you welcome into your birth space matters deeply. Angie is the midwife you want on your birth team. She listens with compassion, respects and protects the sacredness of birth, empowers you to make informed choices, and carries incredible knowledge, skill, and attentiveness. Having Angie as my midwife was an absolute blessing—she helped me experience the homebirth VBAC of my dreams.

Throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I felt truly seen, safe, and supported. She gently eased my concerns about having a VBAC, continually reminded me that the Lord created me for this, and helped me grow confident in my own ability to give birth. I looked forward to every prenatal visit—Angie was intentional, never rushed, and took the time to know me as a person, which created such a strong sense of trust and safety when it came time to birth. She was also so kind and thoughtful with my 2-year-old daughter, always involving her in the appointments. My daughter still talks about her and misses her dearly!

Angie’s care was extraordinary in every way. She responded promptly to texts and calls, always with warmth and willingness to help. During labor, her calming, peaceful presence was exactly what I needed. She has such a gift for reading the body and intuitively knowing what needs to happen next. I never once felt rushed or like she was growing weary—her patience, comfort, and wisdom filled the room. Even when I ended up needing to go to the hospital for a 3rd-degree tear repair, Angie never left my side. She stayed with me, talking me through everything, making me feel loved and cared for.

And her postpartum care was nothing short of extraordinary. Postpartum support and care often feels like a lost art, but Angie embodies it beautifully. She answered my countless questions with grace and wisdom, tending to both me and my baby with such devotion.

I have endless gratitude and praise for Angie. I am moving out of Texas soon, but whenever I am pregnant again I know I’ll do everything I can to have her be my midwife again for my next birth. That’s how truly amazing she is.

Angie is everything you want in a midwife and more. You will feel supported, encouraged, and empowered. The fact that all appointments were at home were so nice, and her knowledge and expertise always had me feeling secure. She is also well connected in the community if you need additional resources throughout your pregnancy. Above all, Angie has bedside manner. This isn’t always the case with professional midwives, but you will feel like you’ve made a friend for life. ❤️

Angie was a very sweet, knowledgeable midwife. I started receiving service from her after I was almost 24 weeks but she made every interaction we had pleasant. Birth was peaceful, she was very patient, giving me my space while also checking up on baby and I every now and then without overwhelming me. The visit after baby arrived was done at home, no need to go out right away, we loved that!

When I first met Angie in 2021, she was a midwifery student at Plano Birthplace, where I had my first baby. Her knowledge — drawn from her own natural and holistic birth experiences — combined with her gentle spirit made me feel incredibly blessed to have her throughout my appointments and, ultimately, on my birthing day. She intuitively read the room and supported me in a way that perfectly aligned with my desires.

Fast forward to 2024, Angie served as my midwife early in my second pregnancy. Her in-home appointments, thoughtful recommendations for a healthy pregnancy, and stellar communication made the experience worth every investment. I truly believe she is called to this work, and I sing her praises to any expectant mom.

Dad here! 10/10 excellent service. Took care of many of my concerns. I was relieved at how prepared the team was. This was 10 x better than a hospital stay.
